Who We AreJaxMP is a company based out of necessity. We are a user of Microsoft System Center Operations Manager and are very impressed with its capabilities. Like most Microsoft products, there are some things that can be improved upon. We saw where we needed to get more out of the product and searched for solutions to fill our needs: the needs of network engineers. We are first and foremost Network Engineers. We know networking and can do it in our sleep. This doesn't mean JaxMP is a networking company. JaxMP is a software company that provides products and product support services. We do not provide networking or consulting services. We leave that to others.
Why Are We Doing This?We didn't set out to develop tools for Microsoft System Center Operations Manager(SCOM). We searched for quality products at a reasonable price, but couldn't find one the fit our needs exactly. Of the tools and Management Packs we found, they were inadequate and limiting. They were designed to accomplish the task in a roundabout way and none of them leveraged the structure of SCOM to its fullest extent. We figured the only way to get what we want it to do it ourselves. We were motivated and we knew what we wanted. Now it was time to figure out the best way to do it. We considered many ways to "skin a cat" but ultimately decided that the best way was to integrate into and leverage SCOM as much as possible. After all, SCOM is our platform of choice for montioring network infrastructures. After a while, we started realizing that there might be a market for these tools. We made the decision to be different than all the others by modelling the business around support instead of products. Our interests lie not in killing everybody over price for licenses, but offering a fair price for our work. So we have adopted a flat fee subscription model where we provides support for all of our products.
Where Are We Going?Where do we see this thing taking us? Well, we have some ambitious goals for the near future. We want to build a community around our products and products support services that allows for ideas and suggestions as well as feedback on our products and services and us as a company. Our goals are to lead with quality products and to have the best product support services. We strive to innovate and lead by example in a market driven by mediocre products. We want to set the bar and have everyone follow our lead.
